President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after official engagements in Japan and Brazil, where he advanced strategic partnerships aimed at boosting investment, trade, and development opportunities for the country.
In a statement he released on X on his arrival, the President said the foreign visits were guided by the mandate Nigerians gave him in 2023 to restore the nation’s pride and dignity on the global stage.
“In Japan, we deepened ties that will bring new investments in industry, technology, and human capital. In Brazil, we advanced partnerships in trade, agriculture, aviation, and finance, while also engaging with Nigerian business leaders to strengthen confidence in our economy,” Tinubu said.
He stressed that the goal of his engagements was to translate agreements and partnerships into growth, jobs, and prosperity for Nigerians.
“This is the new Nigeria we are building together — confident abroad, resilient at home, and determined to create value for every citizen, at home and in the diaspora,” the President noted.
While acknowledging current challenges, Tinubu expressed optimism that with unity of purpose and courage to implement reforms, the country’s future remains bright.
“God bless our dear country, Nigeria,” he concluded.
