President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has welcomed the 24 rescued schoolgirls abducted in Kebbi State and directed security agencies to intensify efforts toward securing those still held by armed groups across the country.
Reacting to their release, the President expressed relief and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting vulnerable communities.
“I am relieved that all the 24 girls have been accounted for. Now, we must put as a matter of urgency more boots on the ground in the vulnerable areas to avert further incidents of kidnapping. My government will offer all the assistance needed to achieve this,” he said.
