Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State says President Bola Tinubu’s reforms have protected Nigeria from severe fuel shortages and skyrocketing prices, even as conflicts in the Middle East drive oil prices higher worldwide.

Speaking at the Government House in Owerri during a visit from the City Boy Movement, Uzodimma highlighted that Nigeria’s economy remains stable, with the naira holding steady at N1,240 to the dollar, while other African currencies face fluctuations.

He credited the removal of fuel subsidies and local refining initiatives, including the Dangote Refinery’s ability to purchase crude in naira, for cushioning Nigerians from the global oil price surge.

As part of the visit, the City Boy Movement plans to empower 7,000 youths in the South-East, reinforcing its commitment to youth development.
