A devastating collision occurred on the R81 near Ga-Sekgopo in Limpopo this afternoon, resulting in the deaths of 13 individuals, including a seven-year-old girl.
The victims were passengers in a minibus taxi returning from a church service in Solomondale to Magoro village outside Giyani. The taxi was reportedly crushed between two trucks in a multi-vehicle accident .
Emergency services are still on-site, attending to the scene and assisting the injured, while the roadway remains completely inaccessible to traffic until further notice .
Motorists traveling towards Polokwane are advised to use alternative routes R71 and R36 .
