Mudryk’s decision followed his doping ban, according to Marca.

The winger has not played football since November 2024.

The report has it that the footballer is now focusing on representing his country at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, the United States of America.

He has already started training with a Ukrainian former Olympian in the national sprint team.

Mudryk moved to Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023 with the Blues paying as much as €100 million.

The Ukraine international went on to play 73 games for the Blues across competitions, scoring ten goals with eight assists

Mudryk is now hoping to translate his blistering pace on the football pitch to the track.

In his first game for Chelsea in 2023 which was against Liverpool, Mudryk clocked 36.67 km/hr.

The attacker has since been removed from Chelsea and his shirt handed over to Cole Palmer.

Mudryk has maintained his innocence to the allegation of ingesting meldonium, a banned substance.
