Troops Foiled Bandit Attack In Dogon Awo Village, One CJTF Member Injured

The troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have repelled suspected armed bandit raid on Dogon Awo Village, Faskari, LGA in Katsina state on Sunday, though some cattle were rustled during the attack.

According to security expert Zagazola Makama reported that the troops backed by police personnel, local vigilantes, community security groups, and Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) confronted the bandits in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to retreat into the forest.

While fleeing, the assailants stole a herd of cattle grazing at the village outskirts. In the pursuit, one CJTF member, Musa Abubakar, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, while four others remain missing.
