Troops, NDLEA Arrest 28 Suspects, Recover Illicit Drugs In Yenagoa Raid

Army troops of the 16 Brigade and officials from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Zonal Command, have arrested 28 suspects and recovered a substantial quantity of illicit substances during coordinated raids in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Zagazola learnt that the raids, conducted at about 0900 hours on March 21, targeted locations within Tombia, Agudama, Gbaran, and Amasoma communities.

Recovered items and the suspects are currently in the custody of the NDLEA for further investigation and prosecution, the statement said.

Military reiterated their commitment to cracking down on drug trafficking and other criminal activities in the state.
