Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of 75-year-old Nomakhansela Sidiki in Ngcobo, Eastern Cape, after she was allegedly accused of witchcraft by members of the community.
The suspects, aged 26 and 28, are expected to appear in court soon following the shocking incident that has sparked widespread outrage across South Africa.
According to police, Sidiki was allegedly taken from her home, assaulted with wooden planks, and drowned in a nearby stream. Videos linked to the attack later circulated on social media, prompting calls for swift arrests and justice.
