CONFUSION IN LAGOS MARKET AFTER SHOCKING DISCOVERY — TRADERS IN PANIC”The United Kingdom Government has recognized significant security improvements in Kaduna State, easing its travel advisory for British citizens visiting the area.
The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) announced the reclassification of Kaduna from “Red” to “Amber”, a move that now permits its citizens to travel freely to the state.
The disclosure was made by Ms. Cynthia Rowe, Development Director of the FCDO, during the signing of the new Kaduna Mutual Accountability Framework (KaMAF) with Governor Uba Sani in Kaduna.
Rowe explained that Kaduna had been on the “Red list” since 2022 but was reclassified following the state government’s sustained efforts to tackle security challenges.
Governor Sani described the development as a strong testament to the effectiveness of his administration’s peace and security initiatives. He added that the UK’s acknowledgement sends a clear signal to potential investors that Kaduna is safe for business.
“This recognition reflects our consistent investment in peace-building, community engagement, and support for security agencies. Kaduna is open and ready for investors,” the governor said. “CONFUSION IN LAGOS MARKET AFTER SHOCKING DISCOVERY — TRADERS IN PANIC”
