The Plateau State Police Command says gunmen have killed one person and injured another in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.
Security analyst Zagazola Report that the incident occurred on Thursday in Jos at about 8:30 a.m. along Margif–Kopmur Road.
Sources said that the victims, identified as Michael Lontukun, of Njin Kopmur village in Mushere West, and Stephen David, of Kopmur village in Margif Ward, were shot by unknown assailants.
Sources said Lontukun died on the spot, while David sustained gunshot wounds.
Following the report, the Nigerian Army troops and the Sector 5 Commander of the Special Task Force (STF) led a combined team to the scene.
The injured victim was taken to the General Hospital, Horop, for treatment, while the corpse was released to the family for burial after they declined an autopsy.
