The information, as curled from official X-handle of Barrister Aloy Ejimajor says he(Aloy) received a “surprise notice” to appear in court on 10th February 2025 with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB)....TAP HERE TO READ THE FULL STORY..>>
The post clearly states that the notice was a ‘surprise’ one, indicating that the lawyer did not request or necessarily argue for the court hearing schedule. But we understand that so much pressures have been on the Nigeria government, emanating from IPOB International diplomatic meetings, calls by many persons of high profile in the society, etc.
Recall that it has been months since the last appearance of the IPOB leader in court because of several reasons; ranging from IPOB’s insistence on the earlier ‘discharged and acquitted’ ruling of the appellate court who exonerated Nnamdi Kanu of all accusation of the prosecution, also because Nnamdi Kanu declared his lack of confidence on Binta Nyako’s court and demanded that the judge recuses herself from his case, but IPOB equally argues that the continued incarceration is simply aimed at seeing if the IPOB Leader’s structures can be destroyed. These and more, to the best of our knowledge, have contributed to why the IPOB leader has not appeared in court.
As it stands, we cannot ascertain whose Judge’s court the IPOB leader will appear on Monday, 10th February, 2025. Nor can we tell the reason behind the said ‘surprise notice’ for him to be brought to court, considering that even his lawyer is equally as unaware. But we will follow-up as events unfold, and update accordingly.Read Full Details
