Victor Osimhen is expected to leave Galatasaray after the end of the season Victor Osimhen is expected to leave Galatasaray after the end of the season
Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has reportedly made a decision regarding his future at Galatasaray beyond the end of the season.
The 26-year-old joined the Turkish Super Lig champions on a season-long loan from Napoli in early September, after his highly anticipated move to Chelsea fell through on the summer transfer deadline day.
The Super Eagles striker has been in outstanding form during his loan spell, netting 22 goals in 28 appearances for Galatasaray.
The Istanbul club has shown interest in securing the Nigerian international on a permanent deal after the season. However, they face significant financial hurdles in making this happen.
According to Turkiye Newspaper, Osimhen is demanding a four-year contract with an annual salary of €15 million.
Additionally, Osimhen’s suitors must meet his €75 million release clause to secure his services.
This brings the total cost of acquiring Osimhen on a four-year deal to €135 million.
Beyond financial constraints, Galatasaray also faces fierce competition from other European clubs, including Manchester United, for Osimhen’s signature.
