Legendary Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has publicly apologised following an incident involving employees of ValueJet at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday.
The altercation, which drew public attention, reportedly occurred during a disagreement between the music icon and the airline staff. In a statement released on Thursday, KWAM 1 expressed deep regret over the incident and took full responsibility for his actions.
“I accept full responsibility for everything that happened. It was never my intention to cause a scene or show disrespect to anyone. I deeply apologise to the staff of ValueJet and to anyone who may have been affected,” he said.
He also emphasized his respect for airline workers and public service staff, adding that the experience had given him an opportunity for reflection.
The management of ValueJet has not issued an official statement regarding the incident as of press time. However, K1’s apology has been widely seen as a commendable move toward accountability and reconciliation.
