Super Falcons midfielder, Deborah Abiodun, has responded to a troll who said she looks like a man and may never find a husband but not with tears, with sarcasm.
In a video that started off emotional, the footballer appeared to be breaking down over constant body-shaming, lamenting how harsh comments about her physique could affect her personal life and even scare away potential suitors.
But in a twist at the end of the clip, Deborah wiped her “tears” with hundred-dollar bills, making it clear she was being sarcastic the entire time.
“You people don’t know what your comments can do,” she said mockingly”
While playing along with the emotional tone at first, the Super Falcons star used the opportunity to throw shade at trolls who mock women athletes for being strong, muscular, or different from the typical “feminine” expectations.
