Police have arrested a wanted parolee in Central Western Jabavu after he failed to comply with his parole reporting conditions at Jabulani SAPS.
The suspect was traced to a residential address where officers apprehended him following efforts to locate him for failing to report as required.
During the arrest operation, he sustained minor injuries while attempting to evade capture. A valid warrant of arrest was presented before he was taken into custody and detained at Moroka SAPS.
Further investigation revealed that the man is linked to 22 suspected business robberies across Gauteng and Mpumalanga. Police say they are reviewing evidence and working with various units to determine the full scope of the alleged crimes.
Authorities confirmed the arrest was conducted in line with standard procedures and that no serious injuries were reported during the operation. The suspect remains in custody at Moroka SAPS pending further legal action.
Police have urged members of the public with information related to these incidents to come forward. At this stage, no additional arrests have been reported.
