“We Don’t Want Marriage” – Iyabo Ojo Opens Up On Relationship With Paulo

Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has made it clear that marriage is not on the cards in her relationship with popular Nigerian music executive, Paulo Okoye.

Speaking during a candid appearance on TVC, the award-winning actress revealed that while their relationship is built on mutual love, respect, and deep understanding, the idea of tying the knot doesn’t fit into their plans — and they’re perfectly fine with that.

“We don’t want marriage,” Iyabo declared.

According to her, both she and Paulo have come to a point in life where they know what they want, and for them, happiness doesn’t have to come with a wedding ring.
“I Value My Space”

One of the major reasons the actress isn’t considering marriage is her strong desire for independence and personal space.

“Because of the nature of my work, I’m such a workaholic, and Paulo is also a workaholic. That Igbo man likes to work,” she said with a smile.

“For me, there are times when I want to be alone, I just pack my bags and return back to my house. We never fight over that because he understands.”

Iyabo added that she’s not the type to be pressured by society’s expectations.

“I do what works for me,” she stated. “People may expect you to follow the norm, but I’ve learned to live life on my own terms.”

The actress and entrepreneur has been dating Paulo for some time now, and their relationship continues to be a talking point on social media.

While fans have often speculated about a possible wedding, Iyabo’s latest comments put an end to that narrative — the couple is happy and committed, but without the pressure of traditional labels.
