Former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed reports suggesting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is planning to hold a national convention in Ibadan in November.

Wike, who spoke on Tuesday on channel TV, said he was not aware of any such arrangement within the party, stressing that the information did not emanate from him.

“I’m not aware there is going to be any PDP convention in Ibadan in November,” Wike said in response to speculations circulating within political circles.

The statement is coming amid renewed discussions in the party over internal restructuring and preparations for future elections.
