Wike: What Is He Doing With Justice Abdul Malik, Lifu In Abuja- Ewoh

In the ongoing political discourse within Rivers State, the acting chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Robinson Ewoh, has addressed recent criticisms from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Wike expressed concerns regarding the roles of Justices Lifu, Abdul Malik, and Omotosho in legal decisions favoring Governor Siminalayi Fubara, suggesting these actions hinder the implementation of peace accords facilitated by President Bola Tinubu.

Responding to Wike’s allegations, Ewoh posed a counter-question: “For him to complain about judges, what is he doing with Justice Abdul Malik, Lifu in Abuja?” This remark implies that Wike himself may be engaging with the judiciary in ways that warrant scrutiny.

Ewoh further clarified the situation concerning the peace accords, stating, “They’re more than 8 items in the peace accords instigated by Tinubu; Fubara is implementing them one by one, so it’s not about Fubara disobeying the president, it’s about Wike and co not patient enough for the implementation of the peace accords.” This perspective suggests that the current administration under Governor Fubara is diligently working through the agreed-upon terms, and that Wike’s impatience may be contributing to the perceived discord.

The political landscape in Rivers State has been tumultuous, with significant shifts in party leadership.

Notably, Robinson Ewoh recently assumed the role of acting chairman of the PDP in Rivers State, a development that has altered the party’s internal dynamics.

In response to legal challenges, Wike’s supporters have expressed dissatisfaction with recent court judgments affecting the party’s structure in the state. The Rivers PDP Publicity Secretary, Dr. Kenneth, labeled a particular judgment as a “kangaroo judgment,” indicating plans to appeal the decision.

These events underscore the complexities of political alliances and the challenges of implementing peace agreements within the party. As the situation evolves, the emphasis remains on patience and adherence to due process to achieve lasting harmony within the PDP in Rivers State.Tap Here for the Full Story
