Zamfara, PDP Governors Attacks APC Over Insecurity, Vow To Defend Democracy

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have condemned rising insecurity, alleged voter intimidation, and democratic decline under the APC-led federal government.

In a communiqué issued after their 7th meeting in Gusau, Zamfara State, the PDP Governors’ Forum thanked party members for their loyalty despite what they described as widespread intimidation during the August 9 bye-elections.

They criticized the elections as being marred by vote-buying, violence, and military interference.

The forum reaffirmed its commitment to the party’s National Convention scheduled for November 15, calling it crucial for repositioning the PDP as the only credible alternative for  Continue…Reading..
