2023: “With Osinbajo The Country Would Have Be far Better, Tinubu Not Fit To Lead” – Senator Babafemi Ojudu

He expressed his belief that Osinbajo would have been a more effective leader.

Former presidential aide Senator Babafemi Ojudu has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, stating that he is not the right person to steer Nigeria at this critical time.

Ojudu, who served under former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, made the remarks during an appearance on Edmund Obilo’s State Affairs podcast on Monday.

He expressed his belief that Osinbajo would have been a more effective leader.

This country would have gone places with him if he had the opportunity, but it didn’t happen,” Ojudu said of Osinbajo, who lost to Tinubu in the 2023 APC presidential primary.

The Ekiti-born politician, having worked closely with Tinubu in the past, questioned the president’s leadership philosophy, particularly his “Emi Lokan” mantra, which translates to “It’s my turn” in Yoruba.

“I just feel that the philosophy of Emi Lokan was not appropriate at this time. Osinbajo was the best person to govern Nigeria at that time, having seen him up close,” Ojudu said.

Ojudu praised Osinbajo as a visionary leader and emphasized that successful governance requires collaboration with competent individuals across all sectors.

You can’t just be a president and have a useless Inspector General of Police, a useless head of Customs or Immigration, or a Chief Justice of Nigeria who doesn’t align with your ideals. Everybody must sign on to your vision,” he argued.Don’t Miss Out! READ FULL ARTICLE
