2024/25 Campaign: Newcastle United Legend Alan Shearer Reveals His PL Team Of The Season

According to Daily Post, Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has named his Premier League Team of the Season so far, following the completion of 11 matches in the 2024/25 campaign.

Shearer opted for a 4-3-3 formation, starting with goalkeeper Matz Sels of Nottingham Forest. The former England striker praised Sels for his consistent and commanding performances, stating, “Outstanding all season, pulling off some vital stops and commanding the box so well for a Forest side who have the second-best defensive record in the league.”

In defense, Shearer selected a backline consisting of Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, along with Nikola Milenkovic of Nottingham Forest and Antonee Robinson from Fulham. Milenkovic’s solid performances for Forest helped secure a strong defensive record, while Robinson’s contributions at Fulham were equally vital.
