The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has vowed to retain Tijani Bosun, the current Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.
El-Rufai said that despite being a minister under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, he will retain Tijani after ousting his principal in 2027.
Speaking at the second edition of the Arewa Tech Fest in Katsina on Wednesday, the former governor of the coalition is focused on defeating President Tinubu in the next election.
Tijani delivered the keynote address at the event, which had captains of industry in attendance and focused on innovations and technology.
After his address, El-Rufai commended Tijani for his achievements since becoming a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He said he will ensure he makes Tijani a minister once the coalition succeeds in its quest to oust the president.
“They (the organising team) had to come without me because yesterday (Tuesday) at 8pm there was a very important meeting of the coalition we’re putting together to ensure that President Tinubu goes back to Lagos,” he said.
“Though we will still keep Bosun Tijani, we will still keep the minister because he is doing good work.
