LIVERPOOL made the big decision in the summer to wrap up the signing of Mamardashvili amid all the speculation over the long-term future of Alisson, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for months.
Liverpool are reluctant to sell Kelleher to a direct rival but would still likely accept an offer in the region of £35million, but the stopper has made no secret of his desire to be the first-choice goalkeeper somewhere after spending the past five and a half seasons as a back-up option behind Alisson Becker.
It is no secret that CHELSEA are looking at adding a new stopper to the side in the upcoming transfer window, and the likelihood is that Alisson will come straight back in, leaving Kelleher in a position that he has previously complained about and suggested would force his hand in the pursuit of regular first-team football.
As a result, reporter Iomie Stanley believes Chelsea should swoop for Kelleher and also reckons it would be a good outcome for the player: ‘I always look at [Emiliano] Martinez when he made the decision to leave Arsenal all those seasons ago.
‘He was at Arsenal for like ten years and finally made the decision to leave the London giants and is now regarded as one of the very best stoppers in world football, and a man that is one of the best in the Premier League.
