The upheaval started over the seating arrangement in the Upper Chamber.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s seat was reassigned, but she refused to adhere to the new arrangement approved by the Senate President.
During this dispute, the Senate’s Chief Whip, Ali Monguno, alerted Akpabio to Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s “incorrect seating position.”
After Monguno completed a point of order, the Kogi lawmaker raised her voice to address the issue.
At this moment, the sergeant-at-arms approached to escort the lawmaker out of the session.
In a video circulating on social media, the lawmaker continued to voice her grievances while being surrounded by her fellow lawmakers as they tried to calm her down.
