Despite the Kogi State government’s directive prohibiting gatherings and rallies, alongside a curfew notice issued by the chairman of Okehi Local Government Area (LGA), Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan held a grand homecoming and Sallah celebration for her constituents on Tuesday.
The event, which took place in the Ihima community of Okehi LGA, witnessed a massive turnout of supporters from the five local government areas that make up Kogi Central.

From as early as 8 a.m., the community was abuzz with activities as eager supporters assembled in anticipation of her arrival.
Local musicians provided entertainment, creating a festive atmosphere as the crowd awaited their representative.
The anticipation soon turned into excitement when Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan made a dramatic entrance in a white helicopter.
Her arrival was met with loud cheers and applause from the gathered supporters, further emphasizing her popularity among the people.
The event, despite the official ban, proceeded without any reported disruptions, highlighting the political tensions and differing allegiances within the state.
