Troops of 1 Brigade Combat Team 6 have rescued 12 kidnapped victims in Bukuyyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Military sources said the victims were intercepted by troops deployed at Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) Bagega and Gwashi at about 6:39 a.m. on May 25 along the Bagega-Anka and Gwashi-Gurusu routes.
According to the sources, preliminary investigation revealed that the victims escaped from terrorist captivity following an air interdiction operation conducted by a Nigerian Air Force helicopter gunship west of Bagega Forest two days earlier.Tap To Read Complete, Details. .
