After A Long While, Buhari Pay Visits Maiduguri, Pledges Support For Flood Victims

Former President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in Maiduguri, Borno State, to express his condolences to the government and residents affected by the devastating flooding incident that occurred in September 2024.

Buhari was received at the Maiduguri airport by Governor Babagana Zulum, Senator Ali Ndume, and other political leaders in the state.

According to a statement by his media aide, Garba Shehu, Buhari went to pay respects to the Shehu of Borno as part of his visit to the state.

The statement reads: ā€œFormer President Muhammadu Buhari just landed in Maiduguri, Borno State, into the warm hands of Governor Babagana Zulum, Senator Ali Ndume and other political and government leaders in the state.

ā€œThe former president was away on vacation when the state suffered the recent devastating floods and is here to personally commiserate with the Shehu of Borno, the government, and the people of the state following the tragic incident.
