Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed deep disappointment after his side narrowly missed out on victory, despite a dominant second-half performance.
Speaking after the match, Ancelotti praised his players’ efforts, saying they gave everything on the pitch.
“We dominated the second half… and we did everything we could. I can’t criticize the team, we did our best,” the Italian tactician said.
However, the veteran coach admitted the result was painful given how close Real Madrid came to clinching the win.
“I’m hurt, it was so close. We were so close to winning,” Ancelotti added, visibly emotional about the outcome.
Despite the setback, the Madrid boss urged focus and resilience, stating that the team will now fully concentrate on securing the La Liga title.
“Now we will focus on winning La Liga,” he declared, signaling a swift shift in priorities as the season approaches its critical stages.
Real Madrid currently lead the La Liga standings and are looking to cap off their season with domestic glory after a hard-fought European campaign.
