APC Chieftain Accuse Rotimi Amaechi Of Working With Atiku To Unseat Tinubu Ahead Of 2027

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Chibuike Ikenga, has accused former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, of secretly collaborating with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to destabilize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Ikenga, the spokesperson of the faction of the party led by Tony Okocha, alleged that Amaechi has been convening nocturnal meetings with opposition figures, including Atiku, in a bid to plot Tinubu’s removal.

He described the actions as a betrayal of the APC and its leadership, stating that Amaechi’s political manoeuvres are not in the interest of the party or the nation.

“He’s a member of…he’s working hand in glove with Atiku to unseat the President. We’re Rivers people. We know all that’s happening. We know ourselves.

“Rotimi, he comes to River State clandestinely, holds meetings at night, we get snippets of those meetings; check all his supporters, those working with him are always with Sim Fubara.

“Emeka Beke, who is claimed to be a functional Chairman of the party, which does not exist, is an ally of Rotimi Amaechi,” he told Daily Post.

The chieftain further alleged that Amaechi is leveraging his political network within the APC and beyond to create discontent and possibly sow seeds of division within the ruling party.

The claims come amid ongoing speculations of internal wrangling within the APC, with key figures reportedly at odds over policy direction and appointments.Tap Here To Read Full Details
