APC Chieftain – Uhara Hails Tinubu over SEDC Inauguration
An APC chieftain and former member of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council, Comrade Edwin Uhara has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for inaugurating the Board and Management of the Southeast Development Commission ably by Dr. Emeka Wogu and Mr. Mark C. Okoye on Tuesday.
In a thank you message released to journalists in Abuja, the party stalwart said President Tinubu has wiped away tears from the eyes of Ndi-Igbo after many years of endless wait for the manifestation of the 3R’s of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Reconciliation promised the region after the civil war.
Saying the time has come for the Renewed Hope agenda of the present administration to be felt among our people.
The party chieftain expressed confidence in the ability of the board and management team of the commission to drive home the agenda of the new commission and put smiles on the faces of our people.
He also thanked the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu for sponsoring the bill for the creation of the commission and using his position as the highest ranking political office holder from the region to facilitate presidential assent to the bill as well as ensuring it’s take off.
He assured that Ndi-Igbo will reciprocate the gesture when the time comes.
Mr. Uhara called on all stakeholders in the region to throw their supports behind the assembled team of the commission so as to ensure rapid development of zone.
