Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma made a significant breakthrough by arresting a 25-year-old female ammunition courier, Shamsiyya Ahadu, who was carrying 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and 6 magazines destined for notorious terrorist kingpin Bello Turji’s camp. The arrest occurred on Saturday in the Badarawa area of Shinkafi Local Government Area, Zamfara State, along with her accomplice, Ahmed Husaini, a motorcycle rider.

The arrest followed an intelligence report about the movement of terrorist logistics in the area. In response, troops promptly established a roadblock, leading to the successful apprehension of the suspects. Both Shamsiyya and Ahmed are currently undergoing investigation by relevant authorities.
