Loyalists of notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji, have reportedly been spotted relocating to a new hideout in Garsa/Kadanya area of Bayanruwa in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the movements were observed on Jan. 19 and 20 between 4:45 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., as Turji’s followers, many on motorcycles and carrying casualties, moved through Galadi, Damaga, Rudunu, and Danbenchi en route to the hideout.
The new location, reportedly hosted by Jummo Smally, a former rival of Turji, is believed to have served as a hideout for bandits in the past. Some of the fleeing bandits are also said to be in transit around Rudunu, Bankamawa, and Farfaru areas under the Faru District, as earlier reported by security operatives.
Local sources revealed that the injured bandits are receiving treatment at the hideout in Garsa/Kadanya, prompting authorities to issue warnings to health workers in the area to avoid attending to them.
The development follows intensified military operations in the region, which have reportedly forced Turji and his loyalists to abandon their previous camps.Tap Here To Read Full Details
