The Nigerian Army recently addressed the emergence of a new terrorist group, the Lakurawas, warning that its activities bear a strong resemblance to the early stages of Boko Haram. He warned that, much like Boko Haram in its early days, the Lakurawas could pose a significant threat if not immediately contained. He assured the public that the military is working to locate and neutralize members of the group to prevent further escalation.
