Fiorentina have verbally agreed a deal to sign Italian centre-back Mattia Viti from French side OGC Nice, according to multiple reports.
Deal Structure:
- Type: Loan deal
- Buy Option: €4.5 million (not mandatory)
- Sell-on Clause: 15% on any future transfer
Leadnaija reports that the 22-year-old defender, formerly of Empoli, has struggled for consistent minutes at Nice and is keen on returning to Italy to reignite his career.
Fiorentina see Viti as a low-risk, high-upside signing, with the buy clause giving them flexibility while reinforcing defensive depth ahead of a busy 2025/26 season.
Formalities and medicals are expected to follow in the coming days.
