BREAKING: Immigration Officer Injured in Attack At Babanna Border

A Nigerian Immigration Officer sustained injuries after being attacked by a suspect at Babanna Border, while in a separate incident, armed bandits raided Dakpala Village in Shiroro LGA, abducting eight people and rustling 115 cattle.

Intelligence report gathered by our source (Zagazola Makama) indicated that on February 24, 2025, at about 7:00 p.m., Assistant Immigration Officer II Gomna Joseph, with Service No. 45048 IA2, was attacked while on patrol with his team along Batanji Road, Babanna, near the Benin Republic border.

LeadNaija gathered that the patrol team intercepted three Fulani men riding a motorcycle from Batanji Village in Benin Republic.

In the process, one of the suspects allegedly drew a cutlass and attempted to stab Officer Gomna Joseph. Acting in self-defense, the officer shot the assailant in the legs with his AK-47 rifle.
