Joseph Duza, a lawmaker of the Niger House of Assembly is dead.
Duza’s passing was announced in a statement by the head of media and public relations of the Niger State House of Assembly, Farouq Isah, in Minna on Friday, September 13.
A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, the late lawmaker represented the people of Munya constituency of Niger State.
The statement by the House said before his death, Duza was the Chairman of the House Committee on Security and Intelligence.
It also said that the late lawmaker died after a brief illness.
Isah, in the statement, prayed to God to grant Duza’s soul eternal rest and give the leadership, members, and staff of the assembly, his family as well as Munya constituents, the fortitude to bear the loss.
