BREAKING: Police Vows To Prosecute 3 Ghanaians Over Forgery, Fraud

Three Ghanaian nationals are currently on the radar of the police over impersonation and forgery, the Nigeria Police has said.

The police in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said it has concluded investigations concerning a high-profile case involving the foreigners.

Adejobi in the statement issued on Friday said the suspects – Samuel Esson Jonah, Kojo Mensah Ansah, and Victor Quainoo – have been accused of orchestrating a sophisticated conspiracy to fraudulently assume control of JonahCapital Nigeria Limited.

The trio alongside their accomplice, Abu Arome, a Nigerian conspired to illegally increase the company’s shares in Houses for Africa Nigeria Limited and River Park Estate.

According to the police, investigations have shown that the suspects also allocated 99 million shares to themselves using falsified documents and forged signatures.

In addition, they falsely presented themselves as Nigerian citizens to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to facilitate their fraudulent activities.

Stating that the suspects have not been exonerated by the Force, Adejobi said they have failed to honour invitations from the police.

“Despite multiple invitations which they have refused to honour, they have instead resorted to launching smear campaigns against the person and office of the Inspector-General of Police, the Nigeria Police Force and the investigating officers, and also filing baseless legal actions against the Police Force.

“The Ghanaian High Commission has been notified in line with diplomatic protocols and the Police Force will now proceed with prosecution of the suspects for offences bordering on corporate fraud, forgery, criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and obstruction of justice,” Adejobi said.
