The Russian government has issued a stern warning to the United States over any potential military intervention against Iran, cautioning that such actions could trigger “uncontrollable consequences.”
The warning was delivered by Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, amid rising tensions in the Middle East following reported Israeli strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
“Any military escalation involving Iran risks spiraling beyond control,” Zakharova said, urging the U.S. to exercise restraint and avoid further inflaming the already volatile situation.
Russia’s statement comes as fears mount over a potential broader regional conflict, especially in light of Iran’s strategic partnerships and the ongoing international concerns about nuclear security.
There has been no official response yet from Washington.
The situation remains fluid, with diplomatic efforts underway to prevent further escalation.
