As the world continues to mourn the death of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, (Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo Worldwide), a Journalist cum social crusader, Mr. Chidiebube Okeoma has advised the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Commander in Chief of Armed Forces to immortalize the deceased who died while serving the nation as the President of the apex sociocultural organization,Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Okeoma who spoke in Owerri, the Imo State capital on Friday described the deceased as a global phenomenon that contributed immensely in the socioeconomic and political development of Nigeria as a nation and therefore deserved a national burial and immortalization.
He further described Iwuanyanwu as a Pillar of Sports, political juggernaut and strategist, an employer of Labour, serial industrialist and a community leader who devoted his 82 years on earth in championing the welfare of the masses as well as the progress of Nigeria as one united nation.
The Journalist observed that though the deceased died at a ripped age of 82, his invaluable experiences were needed most now as the nation currently faces economic hardships and insecurities.
According to Okeoma, the least the FG could do, is to honour and offer him national burial as a man who philantropically spent greater part of his life in the overall welfare of humanity and the nation at large.
Okeoma said “ the least the federal government can do for Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu is to offer his corpse a national burial and immortalize him. He was committed to the Nigerian progress. Chief Iwuanyanwu invested in various sectors of the nation’s economy. He hugely invested in sports, politics, aviation, industry, politics, media, commerce and generally in humanity. He should be immortalized by the federal government” he canvassed.
