Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has alleged that he and members of his team were attacked by security personnel at a nightclub in Spain.
The incident reportedly occurred during a recent outing in the European country, where the singer has been spending time with his entourage, including businessman Cubana Chief Priest and his manager, Asa Asika.
Taking to his social media platforms in the early hours of Sunday, Davido alleged that the security operatives assaulted him and his crew without provocation, claiming they attempted to strangle him.
In a series of now-viral posts, the singer wrote: “They strangled me… we are not dying here.” He added that the individuals involved would be held accountable, declaring, “Y’all going down!”
As of the time of filing this report, the reason behind the confrontation remains unclear, and Spanish authorities are yet to issue an official statement.
Davido, who has since resumed social media activity, appears to be safe and unharmed.
Efforts to reach his management team for an official response were unsuccessful at press time.
