The federal government has expanded its palliative distribution programme to support students nationwide and residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Dr. Uzoka-Anite explained that this intervention is aimed at alleviating immediate economic pressures on citizens while long-term reforms are implemented. “These palliatives serve as a bridge while our comprehensive economic reforms take root,” she stated.
The distribution in the FCT targeted various beneficiary groups across its Area Councils, including student organizations, women associations, community groups, and vulnerable populations, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
