The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi has re-echoed his earlier emphasis on the attributes voters should look out for in aspirants vying for elective offices.
Obi was in Benin City, Edo State on Tuesday to rally support for the governorship candidate of the LP in the September 21st, 2024 guber polls, Barrister Olumide Akpata and his running mate, Alhaji Yusuf Kadiri.
Taking to his official X handle on Wednesday morning, the former Anambra governor said it is essential that people vote for the right candidates.
These candidates, he added, should demonstrate competence, capacity, consistency, and compassion to serve.
“As I have always emphasized, it is essential that we vote for the right candidates—those who demonstrate competence, capacity, consistency, and compassion to serve,” Obi wrote.
He expressed optimism that, “Together, we can build a new Edo State and a Nigeria that is POssible.”
