The final La Liga game of yesterday saw Barcelona welcome a struggling Valencia side to the Olimpic Lluís Companys Stadium. After their disappointing 1-1 draw against Getafe in their last La Liga encounter, the Catalans were looking to return to winning ways in the competition to continue their challenge for the league title this season.
Barcelona took the early lead in the 3rd minute of the match against Valencia. Frenkie De Jong positioned himself properly inside the 18-yard area to convert Barcelona’s opening chance in the match.
In the space of just five minutes, Ferran Torres got on the scoresheet through his fantastic first-time finish to hand Barcelona a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The Catalans easily unlocked Valencia’s defense line to score their third goal of the game in the 14th minute. Raphinha got past the out-rushing goalkeeper to slot the ball into the open net.
Fermín López scored two more goals for Barcelona in the final minutes of the first half, making sure the team had a massive 5-0 lead at halftime.
Valencia pulled a goal back in the 59th minute of the encounter through a brilliant finish from Hugo Duro.

The Catalans still forced an unfortunate own goal from César Tárrega to secure a well-deserved 7-1 victory at full-time
