Arsenal continued their push for the Premier League title with a 3-1 victory over Brentford, extending their unbeaten streak to 12 matches across all competitions.

Despite Arsenal’s dominance in possession, it was Brentford who took the lead in the 13th minute. Bryan Mbeumo scored with a superb strike, cutting in from the right and beating Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya at his near post after an impressive interception by Mikkel Damsgaard in midfield.

Brentford nearly doubled their lead shortly after when Keane Lewis-Potter’s seemingly harmless shot was fumbled by Raya, who recovered just in time. Arsenal quickly responded, equalizing in the 24th minute. Thomas Partey’s powerful shot was saved by Brentford’s Mark Flekken, but Gabriel Jesus pounced on the rebound to head home, marking his sixth goal in four games.

Arsenal took full control in the second half. In the 49th minute, they capitalized on a set-piece when Brentford failed to clear Ethan Nwaneri’s corner, allowing Mikel Merino to convert the loose ball and put the Gunners ahead. Four minutes later, Nwaneri provided a pinpoint cross, which was misheaded by Brentford’s Nathan Collins, setting up Gabriel Martinelli to fire in Arsenal’s third goal.

After that, Brentford struggled to match their first-half intensity, with Arsenal maintaining control and silencing the home crowd at the Gtech Community Stadium. The Gunners comfortably saw out the match, closing the gap to six points behind league leaders Liverpool, who have played one more game.Tap Here for the Full Story
