“Free Speed Darlington Or You Face Massive Protect In Abuja”- Isaac Fayose gives Nigeria Police 72 hours Ultimatum

Businessman and philanthropist Isaac Fayose has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Nigeria Police, demanding the release of singer Speed Darlington, who has been detained for over a month.

It would be recalled that the singer was arrested over alleged defamation of the famous singer, Burna Boy; after which he was granted bail but failed to meet the requirements.

In a recent Instagram post, Fayose expressed frustration over his continued detention, which included the festive periods of Christmas and New Year, without proper arraignment.

In a strongly worded video, Fayose threatened to lead a massive protest in Abuja if the police failed to act accordingly.

We give The Nigeria Police 72 hours to release Speed Darlington or charge him to court. It’s over one month that he has been locked up. If they don’t release him, they will face a massive protest. Did he kill anybody? No matter how big you are, you cannot lock anybody up and throw the key away,” he stated.

Fayose’s ultimatum has amplified calls for justice and accountability, as fans and human rights advocates rally behind the singer.
