Suspected terrorists have killed Alhaji Amadu Surajo, the Acting Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Katsina State.
According to Vanguard, Surajo was attacked late Saturday night in Mai Rana village, located in Kusada Local Government Area.
Along with Surajo, three others were killed, several people were injured, and his first and second wives, as well as his daughter (a university student), were abducted.
The attackers reportedly released Surajo’s first wife shortly after the abduction.
Surajo, who had previously served as the MACBAN state secretary, was promoted to Acting Chairman after the mysterious disappearance of the association’s former Chairman and National Vice President, Munnir Lamido, in June of the previous year.
The strike occurred in an area of Katsina State not typically associated with such violence, raising questions about the nature of the assault.
Security forces have been deployed to restore order and investigate the incident.
The bodies of Surajo and the other victims will be buried according to Islamic traditions, while the injured individuals are receiving medical attention.
The tragic attack underscores the growing security concerns in parts of Nigeria, as terrorist activities continue to spread into new regions previously less affected by such violence.Tap Here for the Full Story
