Hardship: “Tinubu Is Doing Very Well” – Veteran Actor Jide Kosoko Say React To Planned Protest

Jide Kosoko, the ace Nigerian actor, says he does not regret voting for President Bola Tinubu.

In a recent interview on Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, the film star said Tinubu “is doing well, adding that I have seen quite a lot of his contributions to nation-building.

The 70-year-old actor also stressed that he did not force anyone to vote for his candidate during the 2023 presidential election.

I have never bullied anybody to vote for anybody. Nobody bullied anybody to vote. You vote for anybody you wish to vote for, he said.

That is their own business. Their own cup of tea. I am entitled to my opinion. I love the man I voted for. And I know he is doing well.

I said he is doing well. If only you know how repairing things are, you will understand that he is doing very well.

I voted for him because I have known him for a long time. And Agbada has nothing to do with it. I know him and I have seen quite a lot of his contributions to nation building.

And you cannot even talk about this present democracy that we are all enjoying without saying Tinubu’s name among the people who struggled for us to have it.

Kosoko’s viewpoint on Tinubu comes at about the same time when several Nigerians, under various bodies, are planning a nationwide protest between August 1 and 10.

The protest, according to the groups, is aimed to show their opposition against the economic hardship particularly the rising cost of living in the country.

The planned protest has sparked mixed reactions among celebrities.

Actor Yul Edochie recently urged people not to protest and to be patient with President Bola Tinubu. Singer Portable also argued there is no reason to protest because Nigeria is okay.

Activist DJ Switch called on Nigerians to unite ahead of the planned protest if we want actual change.

On Monday, some youths in Niger state trooped out with placards bearing inscriptions like Fuel subsidy must be back’, Enough is enough, Stop anti-masses policies, We are not slaves in our country, and ‘Hardship is unbearable.
