Nenadi Usman, a former minister of finance has challenged the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure to expose leaders of the party whom he claimed are corrupt.
Usman while speaking on Channels Television interview on Friday, said Abure’s threat to expose party leaders like Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti is only an empty one.
Abure, who has been engaged in a war of words with Otti after the governor’s suspension by the Labour Party said he will expose some of the party leaders to give Nigerians the opportunity to know them for who they really are.
His words, “I am waiting for them — from top to bottom — to make any other move and I will open my mouth.
“And when I open my mouth, wherever they go to, they will be like smelly eggs, rotten eggs that nobody will ever buy,” Abure had said.
However, reacting to the national chairman’s threat, Usman said Abure should know that he is free to expose anyone who he believes is corrupt.
“Well, I am challenging him to expose us. If you have anybody to expose, you don’t go and talk now, you go and expose them,” Usman noted.
She further highlighted that the National Chairman is currently being investigated by the Police over some of his actions as leader of the party.
The former minister further noted that the current crisis rocking the party follows an attack on internal democracy by individuals who want the party to remain in disarray.
