The National Secretary of the group, Abiodun Aderohunmu, disclosed in a statement on Tuesday that Ojajuni was kidnapped on Monday, February 17, 2025.
According to the statement, the kidnappers have demanded a ₦100 million ransom for his release.
“During the kidnapping, Prince Ojajuni sustained a bullet wound on his buttock. We are deeply concerned about his safety and well-being and urge the kidnappers to release him unharmed,” Aderohunmu said.
Ojajuni is known as a strong advocate for youth empowerment and development in Nigeria.
The Afenifere National Youths Council called on security agencies to take immediate action to secure his release, urging members of the public to provide any useful information that could aid his rescue.
