JUST-IN: Deputy-Speaker Ekiti Youth Parliament Is Dead

The Deputy Speaker of Ekiti Youth Parliament, Oluwadamilola Fatimah Agbaje has reportedly passed on.

The news was broken by her brother, who took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to disclose the news. According to him, she passed away suddenly on the 11th of June.

He said: “We received the heartbreaking news that my sister, @deelish passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, 11th June 2025. She was truly a star and was full of joy, warmth and light. More than a sister, she was like a daughter, given the significant age gap. We had so many hopes and dreams for the future together. While we are devastated, we take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place. We continue to lean on God for strength and peace in this difficult time. Thank you to everyone who has reached out or kept us in your thoughts, it means more than words can convey”.

In addition to being a deputy speaker, Damilola was the best graduating student of the Elizade University faculty of law, 2018/2023 set. She was also a British Parliamentary debater, writer and founder of Consciousness Movement, an initiative to equip Nigerian Youths with public speaking and critical thinking skills.
